Digital Shared Platforms Engineering is responsible for the Data Ecosystem and Data Pipelining that enables to access to data for business critical decisions. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of data and AWS technologies to guide a partner led engineering team to deliver the solutions needed for our business. The Lead Financial Data Architect is a member of the DTT Shared Platform – Analytics & Risk team within the Digital Transformation & Technology (DTT) department. Chick-fil-A has heavily invested in Analytics and Data Literacy in all areas of the business. The DTT Analytics and Risk team accelerates informed insights by centralizing and unlocking data across the Enterprise and supporting our Enterprise Analytics Teams, DTT Development Pods, and Business Area Analysts. This position will design and deploy solutions that drive analytic business outcomes by optimizing financial data formats and structures and identifying ideal methodologies for handling and moving enterprise financial data optimized for use by systems and people. They will convert complex financial data into useful data for the data lake according to enterprise patterns.
In this role you’ll serve as a leader, problem solver, mentor, and expert software engineer. We need you to apply the technical experience you have gained in software development to the design, development, and delivery of highly engineered, complex technical products.
This role will serve on Chick-fil-A’s Order DNA team. This team is responsible for delivering ordering services that form the foundation of our Unified Digital Commerce platform and supports ordering for all of our digital sales channels that currently account for 30% of sales. The Global Payment Partnerships and Operations Sr. Team Leader serves on the Customer Technology Solutions team within the Digital Transformation and Technology department. In this role, you will lead a team focused on supporting our in-Restaurant payment services and partnerships, payment terminal hardware, and International payment solutions. As Chick-fil-A embarks on a multi-year Supply Chain Transformation journey we are looking for a Sr. Lead Technical Product Owner to lead the design, implementation, rollout, and operational support teams for a new Chick-fil-A owned and developed Supply Chain Ordering, Inventory Management, and Customer Service platform (“Supply Chain Experience Platform”). This role will live in our Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) department and partner closely with Supply Chain, Financial Services, various other DTT Product teams, as well as Restaurant Operators and their teams to enable and unlock the next generation of Supply Chain capabilities. This role is part of the On-Demand Delivery Platform, which is on the Business Incubation team, and reports to the Innovation & New Ventures department.
The Sr. Principal Program Lead (SPPL), Business Incubation (BI), will help ideate, create and incubate new business channels and businesses. The SPPL will play a leadership role in the formation, testing, validation, and integration of key BI business units and initiatives including Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Little Blue Menu (LBM) – a strategic new venture for Chick-fil-A. The SPPL will also oversee Chick-fil-A Catering. The SPPL must be an expert in Consumer Packaged Goods, knowledgable of the on-demand economy, and capable of leading a team of professionals as well as strategic projects.
The SPPL will help lead strategic planning and execution of Chick-fil-A’s entry into the CPG space. The SPPL will then align with key stakeholders to gain support for a multi-year, multi-product pipeline Chick-fil-A branded food/beverage grocery and mass channel initiative. The SPPL will engage with external firms to create a candidate product set. Execution of the product pipeline will require broad organizational alignment with Supply Chain, Menu Strategy, Brand Advertising and Media, and others. The SPPL will also need to engage Operator perspective on how the CPG pipeline is perceived in addition to developing strategy and alignment around the usesage of CPG revenues. Negotiation expertise will be required to secure optimal financial and license agreements with external partners.
The mission of LBM is “to create a best-in-class multi-brand delivery business from ordering, production to second-mile delivery”. The SPPL will provide leadership and expertise to Chick-fil-A’s entry into creating and running its own delivery/dark kitchen operation under the LBM effort. The SPPL will help set and implement strategy around order generation to help drive the primary key performance metrics, sales and transaction volume. The SPPL will negotiate agreements with outside partners such as Google, DoorDash and Uber Eats. While also leading the technical integration with internal leaders in Digital Technology & Transformation, Financial Services as well as counterparts with outside partners.
The SPPL will oversee Catering. The SPPL will lead a team of three, including the Sr. Platform Lead for Chick-fil-A Catering, a professional who is responsible for marketing and sales growth of owned delivery channels. Which would include Chick-fil-A Delivery and LBM, and another professional who will support CPG work.
The SPPL role requires someone comfortable with transforming ambiguity into a project plan that a cross-functional team can follow and leverage to influence, align, and achieve results through internal and external stakeholders. This role will be expected to navigate through opportunities and challenges from across and outside the business, synthesize challenges and bring them to resolution. A keen understanding of forming new business opportunities and business channels will be critical to success in the role. Understanding of the functional responsibilities of the numerous teams within the organization including Supply Chain, Marketing, DTT and others is critical.
