As a Principal Data Scientist in Enterprise Analytics (EA), you will be responsible for leading very technically complex role-specific project work as a part of a larger cross-functional team in support of multiple lines of business. Principal Data Scientists typically analyze data and develop or apply statistical methods, machine learning models, algorithms, and infrastructure on projects that are very technically complex, requiring a deep knowledge of components of machine learning and statistical model development, algorithm design, and compute architecture. They must be able to quickly develop mastery of new subject-matter across any line of business for which they have responsibility. Our Principal Data Scientists typically work with very wide latitude for action or decisions on outcomes for projects that are typically the most complex or cross-functional in nature. They may represent EA in external conversations and typically assist with or lead the selection or oversight of outside vendor partners.

Lead Data Engineers typically leverage and implement pre-defined analytics infrastructure on projects of moderate technical complexity, focusing on developing solutions to data modeling and/or analytics technology needs. They must be able to quickly develop mastery of the needed subject across a specific line of business for which they are responsible. Our Lead Data Engineers typically work with some latitude for action or decisions on specific projects, solutions, or technical issues. They may represent EA in internal conversations and may assist with the selection or oversight of outside vendor partners. Successful candidates for this role must have strong analytical and data modeling skills, a solid understanding of database technology and data use within analytic platforms, and they must have strong programming skills with SQL and/or Python. We expect Lead Data Engineers to have the capacity for fluency and competency in both the technology language of IT and the analyst language of departmental analysts. They will need to be fast learners with a keen eye for detail, systems thinking, and process design. They must be team players who work steadfastly to create impactful change. As a Principal Data Scientist - Forecasting, you will be responsible for leading technically complex forecasting-focused project work as a part of a larger cross-functional team in support of multiple lines of business to manage and improve an internal, Enterprise-wide, Restaurant-level sales forecasting product. This Principal Data Scientists will act as a forecasting SME and will analyze and manage forecast model performance across a large portfolio of Restaurant-level sales forecasts and will develop or apply statistical methods, machine learning models, deep learning models, or other related algorithms, as needed to maintain or improve model performance across the portfolio. In addition to the technical forecasting work, this person will act as the product owner-at-large for this forecasting product and will be expected to cast the vision for the product within the Enterprise, act as the ‘lead user’ of the product, gather feedback and requirements from the Restaurant user community, prioritize the product development backlog, and communicate with the user community regarding the forecasting product and its performance. As a Principal Data Scientist, you will work with wide latitude for action or decisions on outcomes related to this forecasting product. As a Data Scientist within the Enterprise Analytics department, you may engage in external conversations and may assist with the selection or oversight of outside vendor partners, as needed. Successful candidates for this role must have strong analytical and research skills, a strong understanding of statistics and statistical modeling (specifically time series forecasting), a working understanding of modern machine learning and its mathematical underpinnings (including deep-learning-based forecasting models like LSTMs), and they must have strong programming skills with SQL, Python, and/or R. They must also maintain high availability to the forecast product user community and display both business savvy and strong interpersonal and communication skills. In this role, you will need to be a fast learner with a keen eye for detail, systems thinking, and process design. You must be a team player who will work steadfastly to create impactful change.
