Overview

A core purpose of the Financial Education team is to strengthen decision making by increasing the financial acumen of Operators.  The Consultant, Financial Education will utilize consulting skills to assess financial needs of Operators, collaborate with appropriate providers of financial knowledge across Financial Services, and deliver foundational financial information through various channels.  Channels include customized market foundational workshops, on-demand delivery and engagements at the Support Center.  The person filling this position will connect with the purpose of the Financial Education team by managing relationships with various stakeholders within Financial Services in order to capture and communicate relevant actionable financial information.  While in this role, the Consultant will increase their advanced knowledge of the information produced within the department, expand their professional network and develop leadership skills. 

 

This professional role requires a person who has exhibited strong communication skills and an ability to assess and meet the financial acumen needs of Operators.  Strong interpersonal skills are a must as Consultants interact with a wide variety of stakeholders across Chick-fil-A.   The Financial Education team works very well together and relies heavily on collaboration in order to meet team goals.  An advanced financial background will be necessary as we specialize in translating financial information to others.   Analytical skills will also be essential as the person in this position will be reviewing performance and making targeted recommendations based on conclusions reached.  Consultants will have broad autonomy as they make decisions independently and with limited reviewed action.  Consultants plan and direct team projects related to role.  Consultants will influence strategy of team and projects through planning and strategic meetings. 

Responsibilities

As a Consultant, Financial Education, you will contribute by serving in the following areas:

  • Using consulting skills, identify and collect relevant foundational financial knowledge across Financial Services and cross functional sub teams which will help Operators improve their financial acumen to improve decision making.
  • Deliver this knowledge in the field directly by consulting teams of Operators, at the Support Center to Financial Services staff serving Operators directly, and through other channels. 
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Financial Services Staff to deliver financial knowledge to Operators. 
  • Analyze data to determine appropriate financial knowledge for specific groups of Operators across the chain. 
  • Plan and direct projects with emphasis on increasing financial acumen of Operators and staff. 
  • Serve as financial subject matter expert on cross functional teams providing input on strategic direction. 
  • Collaborate closely with fellow members of Financial Education to complete team goals. 
  • Expand scope of Financial Services knowledge, build network within department and develop leadership skills. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related major; or MBA or related work experience
  • Strong desire for ongoing personal development
  • Ability to interpret data and troubleshoot performance issues
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to influence change in behavior based on knowledge delivery
  • Demonstrated strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven time management experience managing multiple deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal relational skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and independently

  • Strong follow-through and adaptability to changing circumstances
