Sr. Project Specialists on the Restaurant Financial Systems team are responsible for working with Restaurant Operators, cross-functional staff teams, and external vendors to design and implement system solutions that meet defined business needs. They develop innovative solutions to end users’ challenges, organize and execute project details, and collaborate with others. He or she will develop comprehensive knowledge of 1-2 systems, serving as a knowledgeable resource for the business and offering input into the strategic technology roadmap supporting them. He or she will also be responsible for deploying changes to those systems to impacted Operators and Staff by executing components of the project plan, communicating key details, and monitoring success metrics.


As a Sr. Project Specialist on the Restaurant Financial Systems team, you will help lead key components of a major system implementation in Chick-fil-A restaurants. The right candidate for this role will enjoy leading work independently, actively pursuing answers and innovative solutions to end users’ challenges, and collaborating with others. The specific scope of work will be focused on restaurants’ labor tools and systems, so experience with labor systems and data (Timekeeping, payroll and/or HRIS systems) will be beneficial. 


  • Develop expertise within 1-2 Operator-focused systems
  • Scope, prioritize, plan, and roll out projects including system and report enhancements
  • Partner with key stakeholder to understand critical business objectives as part of overall vision and roadmap
  • Develop organized systems or processes to assist with onboarding pilot users and seeking their input
  • Implement systems to track project details and documentation
  • May help solve complex data access and reporting issues as they arise
  • Partner with vendors and teams throughout the organization to document, develop, test, and support solutions
  • Facilitate meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Influence new and innovative ways to solve current business and technical challenges
  • Make recommendations about tools and systems to achieve project objectives and solve business needs, as well as communicate and present findings
  • Communicate project benefits, progress and updates to a variety of audiences via written, visual, and verbal presentations

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint 

  • Self-starter who completes tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in project management, business process change initiatives and/or systems implementations
  • Relevant experience in talent and/or workforce management
  • Familiarity with and understanding of the labor environment within the restaurant and/or retail industry
  • Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience or experience with restaurant operations
