Overview

Chick-fil-A partners nationally with select On Demand Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) to serve Customers who place a premium on convenience and desire access to our food when they cannot physically make it to our restaurants. The On Demand Delivery Partnerships team is focused on building, operating, and growing strategic partnerships with DSPs in coordination with our franchised Restaurant Operators to provide our Customers Chick-fil-A food when and where they want it.

 

Chick-fil-A is seeking operations-minded individual who is passionate about building partnerships, running operations, and crafting strategy for a rapidly scaling area of the business. This leader should have a high degree of comfort with ambiguity and be ready to turn on a dime as the marketplace evolves. The Sr. Platform Lead, Third Party Delivery will run a focused operation designed to create value for Chick-fil-A Restaurant Operators, Chick-fil-A, Inc., and our Delivery Service Providers.  This role will also prototype, test, and launch new products designed to create value for Chick-fil-A Restaurant Operators and our Delivery Service Providers. 

 

This role is part of the On-Demand Delivery Platform, which is on the Beyond the Restaurant team, and reports to the Innovation & New Ventures department.

Responsibilities

  • Senior Partnership-facing role; relationship owner of strategic sales channels for Chick-fil-A; responsible for partnership health and operations for On Demand Delivery partnerships
  • Facilitates communication to hold all stakeholders accountable to partnership agreements
  • Leads strategic partner reviews with corporate leadership from both firms
  • Serve as an internal expert for On Demand Delivery Partnerships
  • Set the standard and lead the way for delivery operations
  • Turn strategy and ideas into action, scaling products in context of entire delivery portfolio
  • Build strong partnerships through meaningful win-win relationships with DSPs; regular phone and face-to-face meetings (virtual, for now) required
  • Negotiates on behalf of Chick-fil-A, creating value for Chick-fil-A Operators and Chick-fil-A, Inc.
  • Build strong internal partnerships to test, learn, and launch healthy growth opportunities
  • Facilitate winning decisions with data, facts, and thoughtful analysis, biased to Customer benefits but understanding of Operator perspective
  • Navigate the intricate tax, treasury, and accounting system requirements necessary to operate national partnerships at scale
  • Co-create the technology roadmap based on identification of the biggest problems to solve
  • Communicate Partner product plans, benefits and results to stakeholders
  • Work with internal teams to conduct ongoing Customer research of On Demand Delivery to monitor Quality and lead changes needed to ensure best-in-class Quality ratings while maximizing Sales volume
  • Identify and pursue key growth opportunities for the Chick-fil-A Delivery portfolio
  • P&L fluency: ability to make decisions informed by an understanding of financial implications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in marketing, operations, consulting, or strategy
  • Analytically minded: Ability to back up decisions with data and facts
  • Understanding of 3rd party Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) business processes
  • Attentiveness to details with the ability to understand business context and find common ground
  • Ability to translate business needs to process requirements, and implement and operate those processes 
  • Relationship builder with highly collaborative style 
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and drive change
  • Demonstration of versatile learning with a bias for continuous improvement
  • Ability to independently translate high-level goals into actionable, measurable plans
  • Results-driven with the ability to work under pressure; navigate through ambiguity, and balance multiple priorities
  • Demonstration of leadership and strong collaboration at all levels
  • Excellent personal and relational intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence engineers, project managers, corporate leadership, and partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a display of outstanding attention to detail
  • Data and analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with, and deep understanding of, restaurant operations
  • Understanding of on-demand delivery operations and logistics
  • Experience working for, or deep understanding of, Delivery Service Providers
  • Working proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools
