  • Overview

    The Financial Modeling Analyst is a professional role focused on modeling complex business scenarios and reporting financial data to leaders across the business.  This individual will have experience translating business concepts into financial statement models that allow leaders to better understand financial performance and make key business decisions.  A significant understanding of accounting concepts, financial return metrics and methodologies, technology tools and data structures is also required.  The role requires a skilled problem-solver who is constantly innovating and learning new skills while engaging with stakeholders across the business to meet shared objectives.  The role responsibilities listed below will be performed for stakeholders inside and outside the department under limited supervision.

    Responsibilities

    • Build relationships and partner with professionals across the organization to provide corporate financial analysis for various department initiatives across the business
    • Optimize, manage and continue to build financial datasets to enable efficient analysis of corporate return by segment leveraging Alteryx, Tableau and other tools
    • Partner with Corporate Financial Reporting to support management financial statements
    • Provide analytical support regarding capital asset efficiency and utilization across various levels of the corporate portfolio, including developing tools for key decision makers in the lifecycle of capital assets
    • Develop and maintain corporate financial models for analysis of historical performance, external benchmarking and predictive/trend forecasting
    • Partner with Treasury and Financial Planning analysts to provide important perspective regarding variance and cash flow analyses
    • Assist with the preparation of corporate financial presentations for a variety of audiences using visual, recommendation-oriented tools that communicate the story behind the numbers
    • Analysis of restaurant fee structures and impact of new restaurant formats

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Ability to transform operational business assumptions into financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow)
    • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
    • Experience managing multiple deadlines and business partners
    • Self-starter that demonstrates eagerness to learn and assume responsibility
    • Detail oriented with a high sense of urgency

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Hold a CPA or CFA designation
    • Investment banking or consulting experience
    • Experience in financial systems and reporting
    • Knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and/or Tableau
