  • Overview

    The Payroll Tax Sr. Lead Analyst’s primary responsibility is to oversee administration and maintenance of payroll tax technologies, which includes restaurant payroll systems for third-party Franchisees. This role also serves as the liaison between Payroll Tax and IT, as well as third-party tax technology partners.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for recommending strategy for restaurant payroll systems.
    • Oversees administration and maintenance of restaurant payroll systems including system reliability, security, access, configuration changes, enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.
    • Represents restaurant payroll systems as a key SME in the organization.
    • Provides communication to Operators and the Payroll Tax Team regarding system changes, best practices, enhancements, compliance, and regulatory updates.
    • Works cross-functionally to accomplish ongoing strategy by developing business cases and execution plans, and monitoring results for complex or large-scale initiatives.
    • Coordinate and manage relationships with third-party tax technology partners.
    • Assists in leading the year-end payroll tax compliance requirements including the production of approximately 275,000 Federal Forms W-2.
    • Liaison to the IT department related to payroll tax technology systems and maintenance of these systems.
    • Oversees the review and response of all HELP desk tickets assigned to the Payroll Tax Team.
    • Thorough and advanced knowledge of payroll tax and payroll processing.
    • Works with wide latitude for unreviewed action or decision on most outcomes.
    • May assist with the selection and/or oversight (including assistance with financial and/or budgetary management) of outside partners and professionals to effectively deliver outcomes and results.
    • May lead and/or participate on cross functional teams.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Technology

    8+ years Payroll experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    CPA or CPP
