Lastly,  we ask Staff to seek wisdom,  expect the best,  accept responsibility,  respond with courage,  and think others first.

Our Flexible Futures Model offers a healthy mix of working in person (currently a minimum of 8-10 days per month) and virtually,  strengthening key elements of the Chick-fil-A culture by fostering collaboration and community.

Overview

Chick-fil-A approaches strategic planning with a unique, four-phased approach—Dream, Develop, Decide and Deliver—that spans long-term organizational strategy, mid-term departmental strategy, and annual planning with regular adjustments to day-to-day execution of the plan.

This role program-manages the Deliver phase of the Organizational Strategy & Planning process, ensuring disciplined execution of the annual plan and equipping leaders with timely, decision-ready performance insights. This role is accountable for monitoring progress against the plan throughout the year, diagnosing risks and opportunities, and enabling course correction through thoughtful adjustments to work, resources, and priorities.

Serving as a subject matter expert on the organizational plan, this individual coordinates and facilitates ongoing updates with senior Planning Leaders, synthesizes timely complex performance data and insights to prepare packages for leaders, and drives consistent alignment between strategy, execution, and resourcing.

The role also partners closely with leaders across Strategy, Finance, Talent, Analytics, and other disciplines to support high-quality decision-making in both the Deliver and Decide phases. This includes contributing to the development and resourcing of the annual plan, leading the execution of  quarterly Chick-fil-A Business Reviews, and leading the plan adjustment process.

The individual is expected to continuously refine planning and performance management practices, applying expertise and experience to strengthen organizational agility, accountability, and results

Additional Job Specific Duties:

  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for the Deliver phase, owning the integrity of plan performance management, adjustment processes, and leader-facing insights across the year.
  • Lead the Plan Maintenance workstream, coordinating quarterly plan review cycles, adjustment requests, and EC-ready recommendations to enable timely, informed course correction.
  • Design and facilitate Chick-fil-A Business Reviews (CBRs) by translating strategy, business, and performance insights into clear decision contexts for Officers and the Executive Committee.
  • Act as a connective leader across Planning, Finance, Analytics, and Talent, ensuring performance data, resourcing inputs, and narrative insights are aligned and decision-ready.
  • Support the Decide phase process and contribute expert input on in-year performance trends, risks, and resourcing implications that inform development of the next annual plan.

Responsibilities

  • Program-manage the Deliver phase of the Organizational Strategy & Planning process, ensuring disciplined execution of the annual plan and clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes throughout the year.
  • Plan, direct, and lead complex, cross-functional work to monitor business performance and progress against the plan. Proactively identify misalignment and enable data informed adjustments to priorities, work, and resources.
  • Partner with Finance, Talent, and Analytics teams to develop and synthesize enterprise-level performance insights—spanning strategy, business results, and execution—to inform leadership discussions and decision-making on plan and resource adjustments needed to advance our organizational priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional readiness for Deliver Phase Senior Leader touchpoints by coordinating early alignment, facilitating ongoing partner conversations, and setting clear expectations on objectives, roles, and engagement to drive successful outcomes.
  • Apply deep organizational awareness by listening for nuance, asking strategic questions, and interpreting complex dynamics and sensitivities to shape well-informed recommendations and guide effective decision-making.
  • Coordinate and execute engagements with senior Planning Leaders (e.g., Align Leaders, Strategy Leaders, SPLs, PELs) to ensure shared understanding of plan performance and recommended actions.
  • Apply learnings from each review cycle to continuously improve Deliver phase processes, strengthening organizational agility, accountability, and outcomes over time.
  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert on the annual plan, including goals, metrics, key initiatives, dependencies, and performance implications.
  • Plan and direct agendas, pre reads, and post reads for all Deliver Phase milestone meetings to ensure leaders are equipped for timely, decision ready discussions.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner and execution lead for Decide Phase efforts, translating strategic direction and in year performance insights into actionable planning inputs.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
