To satisfy consumer demand and support the continued growth of the business, Chick-fil-A, Inc. (CFA) continues its journey towards building a more integrated, resilient and scalable supply chain. Significant investments have been made in infrastructure, technology and supporting resources. Stewarding an increasingly complex supply chain requires refining and executing a supply chain business strategy, ensuring the value proposition for Operators balances reliability and efficiency for CFA Restaurants.
The Product Manager plays an essential role leveraging organizational strategy and continual discovery and validation of Restaurant needs to assess opportunities to create value or mitigate pain points. The Order Receipt Product Manager will be responsible for developing and deploying the Restaurant Receiving process. The problem space includes ensuring the order receipt process digitally and accurately reconciles ordered demand to fulfillment and invoicing, drives improved on-hand accuracy in the restaurant and enables seamless resolution of Restaurant order recovery issues driven by fulfillment issues or quality.
This role will require a redesign of the current receiving process, which is manual, not built around standardized process or policy, and creates ample opportunity for user error in the Restaurant. The opportunity is to partner closely with the Order Management Product Manager and Supplier Quality and Safety (SQS) to establish necessary outcomes and design processes accordingly. Success in this role will result in an integrated, enterprise Order Receipt process that streamlines Restaurant receiving, takes manual intervention out of recovery and credits for Operators, and ensures comprehensive item information to flow into Restaurant systems.
The successful candidate will be the Product representative within a Product Team deploying the Product Operating Model as a development and delivery framework. As such, the Product Manager will be accountable for the value (to the Customer) and viability (to the business) of solutions developed. They will work closely with Design, Engineering, and Analytics partners to continuously discover, iterate, develop and deploy solutions that the Restaurant loves, and that works well for the business stakeholders that support the solution.
The Product Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the solution delivers tangible value that reconciles to the organizational strategy, while creating visibility into the development efforts of the team. Where ambiguity presents, the Product Manager will work with the Product Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment around how value is measured and what impact for the customer is necessary to deem development successful. The focus will be a “time-to-money” orientation with emphasis on Customer outcomes (impact) more than outputs (features). Impact to the customer will be how capabilities will be prioritized.
The Product Manager will pursue integrated design in solutions and should expect to interact with stakeholders across the CFA Supply Chain organization, including Chick-fil-A Supply (CFAS). The candidate should also expect to spend meaningful time with the Customer, Operators and Team Members in the Restaurant.
Our Flexible Future model offers a healthy mix of working in person and virtually, strengthening key elements of the Chick-fil-A culture by fostering collaboration and community.
