Overview

Chick-fil-A is investing in Automation, Analytics and Data Literacy in all areas of the business.  The Advanced Analytics & Automation team in DTT exists to enable embedded intelligence across the enterprise by equipping Operators and Staff to make informed decisions and achieve optimal outcomes.   We enable and deliver data, analytics, and AI/automation capabilities and outcomes through empowering foundational capabilities, continuing to maximize the value of complex data products, and accelerating implementation and adoption advanced analytics and AI/automation products.

 

As a Principal Legal & Restaurant Development Program Lead at Chick-fil-A, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders across DTT (specifically DTT Staff Technology Solutions) and the business. You will steward the relationship between Staff Technology Solutions (STS), Legal, Restaurant Development, and Advanced Analytics & Automation (AA&A). Through this relationship, you will be responsible for understanding their data, analytics, and automation needs, educating and aligning them with standards, and ensuring mutual success by leveraging additional resources within AA&A.

 

Our Principal Program Leads typically work with extensive latitude for action or decisions on projects that are very complex and cross-functional in nature, acting as a subject-matter-expert for advanced analytics and automation initiatives. Their role is to optimize outcomes, identifying the best tools and approaches to efficiently meet the needs of their primary partners, maximizing the value for the organization. This role requires proficient knowledge of both business and technology acumen to apply the right solution to meet the stakeholder requirements and must influence the adoption and delivery across multiple teams with the end goal to create a vision and communicate how all of the pieces will ultimately come together. The Principal Program Lead is a strategic leader with the ability to mentor, collaborate, and build rapport with other data & analytics teams and business partners to effectively influence organizational data, analytics, and AI/automation strategy and decisions.

 

Successful candidates for this role must have an entrepreneurial spirit and agile mindset, who can build trusted relationships and influence leaders and colleagues across the enterprise, including IT and the business. The person should be a self-starter, able to work under broad direction, develop a point of view, and promote the "art of the possible." Strong consultative and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to translate, interpret, visualize, and share outcomes with people at all levels of data, analytics, and technology literacy. Additionally, strong agile project management skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • The person who fills this role will be expected to do the following as part of their regular work responsibilities:
  • Lead a portfolio of data, analytic, and AI/automation initiatives and programs, acting as a subject matter expert and relationship owner for a specific DTT Sub-Department and their primary departmental stakeholders
  • Oversee the support and upkeep of technical projects and programs, which involves collecting requirements, preparing documentation, and assisting with implementations, modifications, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate and collaborate across the AA&A Team and through a matrixed execution team to develop and deploy functionality and deliverables needed for product success
  • Develop product charters, plans, and roadmaps, and align with business users, DTT Sub-Departments, and other stakeholders on product requirements, scope, and release cycles
  • Manage the product development backlog and program communication plans for the portfolio of outcomes
  • Drive adoption and support training for advanced analytics products and AI/automation initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Consulting experience leading and influencing outcomes for broad-reaching, complex data and analytics programs that drive measurable business value working in an agile environment.
  • Has strong skills in understanding complex business problems and designing analytical solutions for business needs.
  • Has demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating analytics teams and project work.
  • Experience leading large, complex technical initiatives and programs, including development approaches and techniques.
  • Proven ability to drive teams, management, and senior leadership to decisions, and to understand and influence business needs, translating them into techno-functional requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent personal and relational intelligence.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and the ability to quickly learn and comprehend technical trends in data, analytics, and technology.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision, a team player committed to both the team and initiatives.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage work dependent on partners and vendors effectively.
  • Servant spirit with a strong sense of stewardship, and a solid understanding of the Restaurant or Service business and related data and analytics.
  • Broad knowledge of technical platforms and analytical methods, including strategic and analytics consulting skills, root cause analysis, and agile methodologies.
  • Outstanding enterprise-level thinker with the ability to build strong trusted relationships across the enterprise.
  • Ability to coordinate programs with multiple teams, generate measurable business outcomes, and oversee change management initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business (with concentration in Quantitative Methods, Finance, or Economics), Statistics, Math, Engineering, or other technical degree program
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Experience with organizational key performance measurement
  • Experience leading change management initiatives
  • Agile software development (e.g., JIRA)
  • Experience with innovation or design thinking
  • Has experience shaping and influencing data and/or analytics strategy and policy.
