Overview

We are looking for a forward thinking individual to lead the inventory management execution and strategy across all nodes of the Supply Chain for various menu categories. This includes suppliers, cold storage, re-distribution, Distribution Centers, and restaurants. This leader will partner with both internal Chick-fil-a, Inc. Sourcing, Launch, Marketing, Distribution, Supplier Quality and Safety, and Supply Chain Consultant teams along with external suppliers and distributors to develop and execute the network-wide inventory strategy across 70+ Distribution and Contingency Centers that service 2500+ restaurants. This position requires the leader to utilize a diverse range of skills and experiences in the overall support of inventory management across the end-to-end supply chain and requires a high degree of independence in the execution of these responsibilities to support $30 Billion in restaurant sales.

Responsibilities

1. Manage Distributor and Supplier Inventory

  • Work directly with distributors and suppliers to ensure proper inventory quantities are purchased and produced to meet service level targets and inventory goals
  • Help minimize product obsolescence by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating purchases and production

2. Coordinate Inventory Strategy for Menu Categories

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on inventory plans for various menu categories, including clear plans for product launches, contingency situations, and exit strategies for items being added or removed

3. Data Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Analyze large data sets to identify and solve replenishment challenges, such as supply disruptions, inventory shortages, and product withdrawals
  • Use insights to adjust inventory plans and make quick decisions in changing conditions

4. Align Teams on Inventory Actions

  • Work with different teams to ensure alignment on the actions needed to support inventory goals, including demand shaping and supply planning
  • Ensure that everyone understands and follows the necessary steps to achieve inventory targets

5. Communicate Across the Organization

  • Provide regular updates and clear communication to stakeholders at all levels of the organization regarding inventory status, issues, and actions taken
  • Ensure key information is shared promptly to support decision making

6. Implement Inventory Management Systems

  • Help implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in identifying and rolling out improvements to current systems to streamline operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math or Science accepted; Supply Chain preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven track record in managing complex supply chain networks
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data visualization and storytelling
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Ability to identify problems, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in mathematical and statistical analysis for data-driven decision making
  • Experience working with large data sets and applying analytical techniques
  • Background in budget creation and financial management
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships
