The Chick-fil-A Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance, technology, special
projects, research, and audit defense functions for independently owned franchised
restaurants and corporate activities. We exist to provide tax planning, regulatory reporting and
consulting to stakeholders, governments, external auditors, and business leaders. As we
grow in complexity and global footprint, we seek to influence business decisions, reduce tax
liability, and mitigate risk.
Primary responsibilities of this role are serving the Sales Tax and Payroll Tax Teams by
preparing the state and local sales tax and payroll tax registration filings for both Chick-fil-A,
Inc. & Affiliates and Chick-fil-A franchisees (both sole proprietors and incorporated
Operators). This will include researching and addressing any technical matters related to
registrations. This role is responsible for gathering all necessary tax data for selected
incorporated Operators, verifying the accuracy of the data, and completing the incorporated
Operators’ registrations. This role also facilitates the gathering of information needed to
complete the Federal Employer Identification Number and is responsible for completing all
required FEIN applications for Chick-fil-A Inc. & Affiliates.
