The Restaurant Financial Systems team provides Operators and those who serve them with tools, reports and systems that equip them for profitable growth. We do this by building robust data infrastructure, maximizing the effectiveness of our systems portfolio, and offering those we serve with relevant and timely insights about their businesses.
Lead Insights Analysts are responsible for sustaining a high degree of technical/analytical competence and project leadership as they partner with cross-functional Staff teams and Restaurant Operators. Their primary role is to identify and communicate insights for an assigned scope of business through the blending, transformation, and critical evaluation of data by leveraging descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive methods. Lead Insights Analysts are considered data & process owners within the organization.
This role will be part of the Restaurant Benchmarking & Costing team (RB&C), a team that is uniquely positioned from an analytics and business-process standpoint to provide restaurant-level financial insights. This role will maintain a high degree of subject matter expertise for our menu & ingredient costing system and will focus on cost and profitability impacts associated with menu test concepts or changes. The individual will be responsible for both proactive and responsive analysis by leveraging their technical skillset and will be responsible for communicating insights through static reports or dashboards that are easily digestible for audiences that are not analytics experts.
This role performs and presents theoretical menu item profitability analysis for new development or changes to existing menu items (i.e., menu & packaging-related innovation) to cross-functional stakeholders. The individual will play a critical role in providing stewardship and financial insights to our project partners in Marketing and Supply Chain Innovation, leading financial impact analyses as part of their roadmap.
As a Lead Insights Analyst, this individual will demonstrate a high degree of project and product leadership by serving as the analytics SME for the projects they participate in, and will be expected to represent the team to present findings to our stakeholders' leadership teams. They will be responsible for not only for taking full ownership of the data and analytics, but the relationships with key stakeholders to work autonomously and drive initiatives under limited direction from leadership. They will develop comprehensive knowledge of a robust menu cost data infrastructure – serving as a SME for food cost to provide strategic direction for the cost/profitability impact of cross-functional menu concepts or decisions.
This individual will be responsible for reacting to trends and recommending changes to the appropriate systems, ensuring that impacted Operators and Staff stay informed in that process. They will create and execute project plans, communicate key details, escalate issues, and respond to trends for their assigned scope of business. Leveraging their deep knowledge and expertise, they will advise stakeholders, make strategic recommendations, and influence both proactive and responsive actions.
