Chick-fil-A's Corporate Procurement Team is experiencing a transformation that will impact the entire organization and we want you to join us in the journey. During this transformation, the Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Program was created to stand up a single end-to-end process that helps Staff understand how to source, contract, onboard and manage suppliers. The Procurement Coordinator will shepherd staff through the purchasing journey by navigating through processes and systems, while adhering to procurement policies. This will enable the Corporate Procurement team and ESM Program to increase oversight, operational efficiencies, financial stewardship, and stakeholder satisfaction.
As a crucial member of the Corporate Procurement Team that plays a part in the ESM program, the Procurement Coordinator will be the traffic controller for all purchasing requests from departments across the organization. As a result, the Procurement Coordinator may be the first point of contact and brand impression for the Corporate Procurement team so the ability to respond with urgency and a customer service spirit is important. The role will include triaging each project request and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to gather project information, which will inform the appropriate buying channel, whether through strategic sourcing or a direct purchase. These requests may range from small spend to business critical and/or high spend engagements. After a supplier is shortlisted, the Procurement Coordinator will work with business stakeholders and suppliers to obtain necessary supplier information needed to run due diligence, onboard, and pay the selected supplier.
In addition to interacting with business stakeholders, the procurement coordinator will regularly collaborate with the Corporate Procurement and Legal teams, so an understanding of sourcing, procurement, and legal processes are important. The role will require responsiveness, high desire for stakeholder satisfaction, knowledge of the strategic sourcing and procurement process, and ability to make judgements within ambiguity.
