Overview

The Strategic Planning and Projects Lead role will be responsible for overall business operations of the Strategic Insights team working directly with the leadership team.  Primary responsibilities include assisting in strategic planning/business priorities, creating and facilitating agendas for leadership meetings, serve as the team lead in critical areas of Communications, Planning, and Budgeting, special project coordination, generate key performance indicators, and help align the growing work streams across the sub-teams that comprise Strategic Insights.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Strategic Insight Leadership Team
  • Responsible for the creation of meeting agendas around tactical and strategic meetings, lead facilitator of the meetings driving outcomes, and devising cascading communication sent out to SI team
  • Lead the internal communication strategy around the work of Strategic Insights collaborating with sub-team leaders and external partners around updates of work/projects to the team and Restaurant Development
  • Responsible for the Strategic Insights annual budget working with sub-team leads around budgeting for software, contract services, and data providers
  • Work with leadership on annual department planning and strategic road mapping around focus areas and produce deliverables
  • Develop a process and system that takes inventory around project requests for each sub-team within Strategic Insights for visibility to the leadership team
  • Work with leadership team to scope and coordinate sponsored projects helping set prioritization to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure consistent practices are in place and help lead efforts to determine key performance indicators and measure overall team performance for Strategic Insights
  • Engage with cross-functional leaders to align and connect the expanding work of the sub-teams within Strategic Insights
  • Collaborate with other groups across Restaurant Development to gain perspective and align work
  • Responsible for quarterly business review content
  • Create formal presentations and complete cross functional ADHOC projects as needed
  • Partner with leaders to help with overall monthly team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Business Administration, Communication, Marketing)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong project coordination & consulting skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and manage multiple internal or external projects
  • Strong analytical & critical thinking skills
  • Strong relational skills & strategic thinking
  • Nimble business mind helping develop creative solutions
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and shifting realities of growing work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to take initiative, recognize needs, and act without prompting from supervisor
  • Self-motivated for continuous improvement of personal skills and business systems
  • 5+ years of previous project/program leadership experience
  • 10% Travel
