Overview

The International Technology PMO, Planning, and Special Projects Leader will manage the growing international technology portfolio and facilitate planning for all of Chick-fil-A’s international technology teams across four countries in three regions. The role will be responsible for designing, creating, and socializing the framework and methodology. They will also help drive international technology organizational effectiveness and optimization as the international technology organization grows and scales to support Chick-fil-A’s rapid international expansion.

 

As part of the international technology team, this individual will report directly to the International Technology Leader. This role will also work with regional technology leaders and in-region program managers to ensure a holistic international portfolio and cross-region collaboration. In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual will have responsibility for the following areas:
• International Technology Portfolio Management
• International Technology Special Projects
• International Technology Organizational Effectiveness and Optimization
• International Technology Planning
• International Technology Budget Coordination

 

The position is based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Design and socialize the needed framework and methodologies for portfolio management and governance across the larger international technology team in four countries and three regions
• Develop and maintain portfolio management processes and tools to ensure consistent technology approaches and visibility across regions
• Engage and calibrate with International Technology Leadership across regions to define new technology programs and projects and conduct regular review of IT delivery towards those initiatives ensuring consistency with strategy, commitments, and goals
• Identify and develop strategies and processes for improving organizational effectiveness within the international technology business
• Coordinate planning and budgeting for the International Technology teams across all 4 countries
• Make key decisions, adjust budgets and advocate for resources and related project governance processes
• Utilize expertise and leadership skills to plan, monitor, manage and/or support different aspects of technology programs and projects
• Develop and manages long-term and strategic relationships, influencing, persuading, and negotiating with internal (e.g., international teams) and external stakeholder groups (e.g., vendors/partners) to promote and implement the program vision across the business
• Maintain a deep understanding of internal and external developments to recognize and address any potential impacts on DTT programs and identified, implement, and promote sharing of best practices, new technologies, and innovation
• Develop and manage relationships back into DTT department to provide transparency, visibility, into interdependencies with other workstreams and product teams
• Develop and execute a holistic international technology communication strategy
• Serve as an advisor to capture new technology ideas, innovations, and concepts for the business

Minimum Qualifications

Portfolio Management Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in IT Program Management or Planning
• Strong experience with IT leadership, governance, budgeting, forecasting, change management, and operations
• Extensive experience developing integrated program plans, inclusive of using Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Trello, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Extensive experience initiating enterprise-wide technological changes to improve business processes

Major/Concentration

Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or Related field or equivalent work experience.
