Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Principal Program Lead role are to lead, develop and manage the sourcing of all locally sourced in-country items for our new International efforts. In addition, this role will act as a liaison between the entire Sourcing team in Supply Chain with the International team. Facilitate and support various projects, programs and enterprise initiatives involving Sourcing, SQS, Distribution, Menu, Culinary, DTT, Legal and the International Team. Specifically, the role will focus on recommending, influencing, implementing and supporting sourcing strategies through interaction with Chick-fil-A internal and external stakeholders to provide the best service and supply to International locations. The role is accountable for ensuring trusted supply by focusing on stewardship, strategic initiatives, supply continuity, sustainable sourcing and personal/professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist internal led activities related to tactical purchasing including material requirements planning, ensuring product availability and executing nondisclosure agreements.
  • Converse with suppliers and internal product leaders to forecast demand and/or create supply plans that ensure availability of direct spend products (food, packaging, equipment, and other items).
  • Define and document procurement requirements of products for International locations (specifications, project scope, supplier coordination and contract management).
  • Meet with suppliers to evaluate performance metrics, provide project feedback and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Assist in performing supplier audits to ensure good manufacturing practices, production capabilities and quality control processes exist.
  • Strategically identify areas of cost avoidance and negotiate to minimize cost of goods impact to our supply chain and contribute to the profitability of Chick-fil-A, Inc.
  • Support rollout and testing of key organizational initiatives by providing procurement leadership, sourcing support and cross functional influence
  • Support the organization by ensuring that we have adequate supply and contingency plans in place for each of our top tier supply points.
  • Source a traceable supply of products whose manufacturing practices positively impact both the environment and people involved throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Determine areas for personal and professional growth within three key areas: achieving performance expectations, growing current role, preparing for the future.
  • Partner with CFA Legal to negotiate and administer NDA and Master Vendor Agreements.
  • Partner with CFA DTT group for integration of all new partners.
  • Direct internal core Supply Chain team for Supplier onboarding including contract negotiations, item approval and set-up.
  • Act as country lead on new market entry for various cross functional launch teams.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of (Supply Chain, Business, Management, or other technical field of study)
  • Self-starter with excellent project management and organization skills
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates ability to achieve results while working independently and with minimal supervision
  • Able to anticipate needs, lead multiple projects and manage shifting priorities
  • Assume new assignments, routinely show interest in improving knowledge and offer suggestions / solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks while working under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to act in a professional, courteous and diplomatic fashion with vendors, managers and corporate team members at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient written and verbal skills with experience in the MS Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Knowledge of business and management principles related to procurement
  • Ability to take initiative, recognize needs and act proactively without prompting from supervisor
  • 2-3 years of previous project leadership experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
