Senior Inventory Strategy Lead

The Senior Product Lead, Channel Strategy will lead the Supply Channel Analysis function within the Supply Chain Planning team.  This leader will collaborate with internal and external partners to design, evaluate, and implement strategies to optimize the flow of goods within the Chick-fil-A supply chain. As a representative on the cross-functional Network Strategy working team, the Senior Product Lead will influence a broad range of stakeholders and drive alignment on system-wide initiatives.

The Senior Product Lead will combine their own perspective on supply chain planning with optimization model outputs generated by the Network Design team to recommend data-driven, innovative channel strategies.  This leader will also help influence the development of optimization models and analytics to effectively evaluate tradeoffs between cost and service.  The Senior Product Lead will play a critical role in Chick-fil-A’s supply chain transformation by driving organizational alignment to enable the optimal flow of goods from suppliers to restaurants.

The person who fills this role will be expected to do the following as a part of their regular work responsibilities

• Partner with the analytics and optimization teams, guiding and leveraging the outputs of optimization models to inform inventory/channel strategy
• Evaluate strategic tradeoffs of supply chain network decisions on inventory and costs, and understand impact of decisions on CFA restaurant operators, suppliers, and distributors
• Partner with representatives from other areas of supply chain via the Network Strategy working team to define and develop system-level solutions
• Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics and Financial Services to quantify impact of proposed initiatives
• Engage with Chick-fil-A subsidiaries and partners to provide essential support and enable execution

• Ability to partner and influence across functional areas to implement strategies through effective change management, especially in a matrix environment
• Familiarity with optimization and modeling, as well as inventory management principles
• Ability to understand and present analytics output to a broad business audience
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal / written communication skills
• Attention to detail, proactive / self-starter mentality
• Deep understanding of supply chain management, either from direct SCM experience or consulting
• Demonstrated strategic planning experience, preferably in a complex supply chain arena 
• Creativity to push for continuous improvements within established systems and          processes
• Proven ability to influence across and outside the organization
• Strong ability to drive results while developing and maintaining relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics / Statistics, related Quantitative degree, or Supply Chain MBA

• Demonstrated critical thinking/ problem solving skills applied to organizational challenges
• Extensive experience leading forecasting, demand planning, and/or supply chain analytics functions
• Proven track record leading work across complex teams and managing multimillion-dollar budgets
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics / Statistics, or related Quantitative degree
