Chick-fil-A, Inc. has a stated intent to expand business interests through the creation of complementary, expansive, and innovative domestic and global entity businesses. Chick-fil-A International, Chick-fil-A Supply, Bay Center Foods are current entity businesses that have emerged from this strategy. This requires technology to support the diverse business environments and requirements inherent in global expansion (multi-lingual, multi-currency, etc.) and vertical integration through entity businesses. This role will be responsible for providing senior technical leadership in support of Chick-fil-A’s expansion through Chick-fil-A International and other entities. The role will be responsible for ensuring the definition and delivery of technical strategies and outcomes including distributed global architecture, engineering standards/guidelines, and technical maintenance/support in partnership with other audiences and in alignment with the evolving needs of Chick-fil-A’s entity businesses.

The role will report to the Entity Technical Services (ETS) leader, serve as part of the Entity Technical Services leadership team, and will partner closely with other senior technical leaders within the Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) department. The position is based in Atlanta, GA.

  • Ensures the definition and delivery of technical strategies outcomes such as:
  • Global architecture
  • Integrations engineering
  • International technology strategy and technical outcomes
  • International architectural design in partnership with Enterprise Architecture
  • International-specific Engineering standards and guidelines
  • International and entity technology Maintenance and support
  • International data analytics
  • Leads a technical team within the Entity Technical Solutions audience team, providing international strategic and operational technical leadership.
  • Understands business strategy, business requirements and can envision and implement advanced architecture technical solutions to enable Chick-fil-A’s growth strategy, balancing business and technical outcomes.
  • Defines, implements, and consults on architecture international technology governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities and leads adherence to these standards across international digital technology projects and regional technical teams.
  • Partners with DTT shared services engineering COEs to establish an International framework and evaluate and on-board new technology methods necessary for delivering on global business objectives.
  • Partners with international regional technical teams (i.e., Asia and Europe) the DTT leads and business stakeholders on the selection and use of technology solutions that enable regional business outcomes and objectives.
  • Identifies strategic links with other functions to optimize development and engineering activities
  • Researches and recommends models for technical product delivery that will scale to support Chick-fil-A’s global expansion
  • Stays abreast of internal and external developments (e.g., integrations, engineering) to identify and implement best practice methodologies and emerging technologies, leading continuous improvement efforts and identifies new product opportunities
  • Leads the defining and maintaining of an international technical capabilities and roadmaps
  • Assesses and consults to vendor technical abilities to support entity needs
  • Identifies best practices to ensure quality, performance, and reliable global systems
  • Fosters international/global and common shared services mindset among DTT engineers and technical staff and serve as point of contact for technical resources
  • Facilitates and oversees professional consulting agreements needed to scale technology for growth and support needs
  • Selects and manages software and service vendors to optimal performance in support of entity strategy and goals
  • Contributes to the strategic direction within area of specialism including standards, culture, and ways of working in line with strategy
  • Strategically leverages networks to drive innovation, best practice, and a continuous improvement culture

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-national business technology
  • Established ability to partner and collaborate with leadership across multiple functions
  • Models skilled problem-solving techniques and analytical expertise
  • Strong communication skills including influencing and team facilitation across multiple levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence; with an ability to inspire, effectively develop, coach, and mentor individuals/teams
  • Demonstrated learning agility, capacity to learn and lead under new or changing business conditions
  • Proven ability to apply deep and practical business acumen to partner effectively with counterparts
  • Strong strategic thinker
  • Ability to lead complex work across multiple subject areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • International technology experience, Global architecture and/or International software development, Shared Services Experience.
