Overview

The IT Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support in the critical areas of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and procurement processes for the Chick-fil-A Supply Information Technology department. This role will focus on examining and improving processes, reporting and variance analysis, building and maintaining budgets and help play a key role with forecasting, all related to our network of IT systems, hardware, and integrations. The IT Financial Analyst should possess excellent analytical, problem solving, and financial reporting skills; however, no prior computer science/engineering experience is necessary, as this position will be working closely with the IT department on Finance related tasks.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply™ is a distribution service provider focused entirely on serving the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants.  This position will provide multi-site, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) leadership for our network.

Due to steady, year-over-year sales and volume growth, combined with the complexity in our Restaurants, Chick-fil-A Supply supports current and future Restaurant needs through distribution innovation that extends the Chick-fil-A culture of care to those it serves, as well as those it employs.

The Chick-fil-A Supply distribution service network is comprised of many components:

  • Distribution Center – State-of-the-art warehouses that house supply for Chick-fil-A restaurants
  • Transportation – Growing fleet of delivery vehicles that supply Chick-fil-A restaurants
  • Cold Storage – Capital investment dedicated to maintinaing freezer space for critical product

Responsibilities

  • Support the IT department with all financial related needs such as budgeting, forecasting, invoice management, reporting, and variance analysis for multiple distribution centers
  • Own the IT P&L by tracking expenses by vendor, project, and account, against the department budget and forecast
  • Manage purchase order processing and invoice coding to the general ledger and ensure appropriate approval routing
  • Assist with financial inquiries by analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data for IT leadership
  • Manage financial aspects of the IT department with a focus on financial sustainability of both the Chick-fil-A Supply entity and the larger Chick-fil-A, Inc. enterprise
  • Conduct analyses in support of FP&A for multiple Chick-fil-A Supply distribution centers
  • Assist with enhancements and maintenance of the financial model for our multi-site network
  • Obtain a solid working knowledge of the primary drivers of IT operations and their impact on financial performance
  • Develop and present financial analyses, reports, and presentations to senior leadership to support decision-making for new investments
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to solicit feedback on upcoming projects, future budgetary needs, and variance analysis commentary
  • Work with Accounting team on capital and other asset-based purchase
  • Identify key business trends through benchmarking, KPI tracking and analysis
  • Partner with facility operations to provide analysis in support of major IT capital investments
  • All other duties as may be assigned at leader’s discretion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Finance or Business-related field
  • 4-6 years relevant business experience
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills
  • FP&A Experience in a multi-location organization
  • Financial Modeling Experience
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems such as Oracle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • MBA
  • Prior experience working closely with IT departments
