The Restaurant Financial Data and Systems team provides Operators and those who serve them with tools, reports, and systems that equip Restaurants for profitable growth.  We do this by building robust data infrastructure, maximizing the effectiveness of our systems portfolio, and offering users relevant and timely insights about their business. This role will focus on Restaurant profitability insights, sales channel profitability analysis, and other related data and systems. 


This position is responsible for sustaining a high degree of analytical competence and project leadership as they partner with Restaurant Operators, cross-functional staff teams and external vendors. Lead Analysts are responsible for both proactive and responsive analysis, project planning, executing project details, and collaborating with others. They will develop comprehensive knowledge of 1-3 systems, serving as a subject matter expert for the business and offering input into the strategic technology roadmap supporting them. He or she will also be responsible for recommending and deploying changes to those systems to impacted Operators and Staff, by creating and ensuring execution of the project plan, communicating key details, escalating issues, and responding to results. They leverage their deep knowledge and expertise to advise stakeholders, make strategic recommendations and influence both proactive and responsive direction.

  • Generate advanced insights, make recommendations about the tools and systems that consume the data, and communicate findings to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Lead larger Restaurant and Field-Staff facing projects by recommending and deploying changes, creating, and ensuring execution of the project plan, recommending necessary changes to budget or resources, communicating key details and escalating issues, and responding to results
  • Identify and recommend changes in procedures of significant impact on broader groups
  • Participate in roadmap development and collaborate with technology partners to make recommendations about future system and data infrastructure needs
  • Communicate project benefits, progress, and updates to a variety of audiences via written, visual and verbal presentations
  • Work with technology partners to build complex business intelligence systems and serve as the thought leader responsible for solving complex questions, such as how to calculate Restaurant profitability per sales channel
  • Serve as subject-matter expert and/or business owner for chainwide, Operator-focused systems and data sets of significant scope and complexity
  • Serve as designated point of contact for escalation of broad issues with an implemented system, data set, or vendor
  • Solve data access and complex reporting problems independently
  • Collaborate to ensure desired outcomes are achieved for different projects, including facilitation of councils, meetings, and cross-functional decisions across stakeholder groups
  • Influence stakeholder group to consider wide array of possible solutions to a business need; recommend solutions based on a broad business perspective

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Analytics, Accounting, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS or a relevant field
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Minimum GPA - 3.2
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience paired with verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading process change Initiatives and/or systems implementations
  • Excellent interpersonal relational skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and independently
  • Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficiency with SQL, Alteryx, or another data transformation tool
  • Proficiency with Tableau or another data visualization tool
  • Experience building automated and scalable analytical solutions
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to understand intricate details and how they relate to each other in the broader scope of a system
  • Self-starter who sees needs and proactively completes tasks to meet the needs, exhibits a personal desire for excellence, eagerness to learn and a process improvement mindset
  • Servant spirit with strong sense of stewardship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Analytics, Accounting, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS or a relevant field
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Experience Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience or experience working in retail, hospitality, or QSR industries

  • Experience with managerial accounting or financial modeling

  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodology

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
